About Us

Rare Musee is a contemporary Indian womenswear label – designed for occasions, built on craft,  and rooted in the belief that women are the moment.

It began with a passion that biology could not contain. From Pearl Academy to internship at Hemant and Nandita, to a special programme at Manchester Metropolitan University, to product development for Amelia knight, Manchester - every step was a preparation for this.

Rare Musee is a mother and daughter label. The prints are hand-sketched. The fabrics are chosen by eye. The silhouettes are considered. This is a dream that was seen ten years ago and has spent every year since becoming ready to exist.

Designed for Occasions

Built for the real moments of a woman's life — timeless daytime occasions that deserve to be dressed for.

Hand-Sketched Prints

Every print begins as a hand sketch — drawn around the body it will live on. Nothing purchased, nothing borrowed.

Thoughtful Placement

Where the print falls at the neckline, how it moves across the waist — all considered before a single cut is made.

Considered Silhouettes

Western silhouettes, Indian print language. Each shape chosen with intention — nothing unnecessary, nothing accidental.

Two generations,
one vision.

Founder & Creative Director

Lipika Jhamb

Lipika brought the vision — the prints, the silhouettes, the world. Trained at Pearl Academy, mentored by Hemant and Nandita, and sharpened internationally at Manchester Metropolitan University. She sketches every print by hand on Procreate, designs every placement, and holds the creative direction of Rare Musee entirely.

Co-Founder & Creative Partner

Her Mother

Her mother brought the ground — the eye for fabric that no school can teach. She finalised every print, chose every fabric, handled logistics and production, and found the aesthetic that makes Rare Musee feel like it was always meant to exist. The label would not be what it is without her.
